Staff Sneakers

L1001174

The decision for the uniforms for the front-of-house staff at L2O was neither quick nor easy. The one constant in this equation has always been gym shoes. We knew that whatever the suit might be, from Armani to Zegna, that the staff would be sporting gym shoes along with it.

The motivation behind gym shoes was based on one primary concern, comfort. We want our staff to be able to provide the best service possible to our guests and do not want them to have any distractions, including uncomfortable shoes.A secondary idea was style, the sneaker-suit combination is a very contemporary version of relaxed luxury.

We searched for a shoe that would coincide with our style. We initially focused on Puma and Adidas to begin, unfortunately, neither had the quantity of shoes that we needed to outfit our entire staff. After many virtual trips to stores around the globe, we ended up finding the perfect fit— Hugo Boss sneakers for our gentlemen and Cole-Haan sneakers for our ladies. The feedback from the staff has been great. We hope you like them as well.

I just love this idea. I'm a huge sneaker fan, and these are perfect - comfortable, yet formal enough in appearance.
Plus, happy staff make for a great environment and customer-experience!

I love Hugo Boss sneakers, but I can't wear them because they are limited to whole sizes only (i.e. 8,9,10,11). Have any of your staff had problems with this?

I love the blog and can't wait to visit with my new wife this September. We're hoping the menu will be tomato based?

We didn't have any issues with sizes.
September is the month for tomato. I'm sure we'll have dishes or preparations with various kinds of tomatoes then.
