Share Your Experience
Tonight is opening night. We have been working on the restaurant for a long time now and have put all of the components in place. An interesting thing about a restaurant is that it really needs people and diners to be complete. They give the space a dynamic and of course are the reason we are there. Tonight the last piece comes into place.
We expect we will read about people's experience somewhere on the internet. Maybe people will comment here on the blog, or on their own blog or in a discussion group. We expect people will take pictures during their meal. With all the camera phone, iPhone and digital cameras, it has become normal. To this point we have started a L2O photo pool on Flickr.
Flickr is a free, online photo site that allows you to organize and share photos. You create an account, then upload your photos into your photo stream. You can upload photos from your camera or computer. It is possible to link your cell phone to Flickr and post photos directly to the site from your phone.
You can also create a group, which is what we did. A group is a pool of photos that anyone can add to and everyone can see. The L2O Restaurant group is public and anyone with a Flickr account can add to it. It is one of the best ways to share pictures around a common idea.
You will see in the left side bar here that the most recent photos from the L2O photo pool are displayed. I uploaded them just to get a start. It will show the 10 most recent photos that were added to the pool. At the bottom of the photos is a link to the pool. You can also link to it here.
We know people will take pictures. And we don't mind, as long as it is appropriate and no big productions with tripods and light kits. We hope you will share your pictures with us, so we can see how you see the restaurant. Who knows, maybe tomorrow we see some new ones.

Congratulations and best wishes on opening night! Chicago is lucky to have you.

The restaurant looks great and you have set a new standard for opening a restaurant with this blog. Best of luck Laurent and staff!
